I have matched my 435 entries total for my first giveaway! If I extend this giveaway til the original date of Sept 30, who knows how many I'll get?! :) Still considering ending it this Sunday Aug 31, but I need feedback--does anyone think I should keep the original date, or shall I close the giveaway on Sunday? Give me your thoughts!
So this morning I entered Writer's Digest's Self-Published Ebook Awards! Again, asking everybody to cross their fingers for me! And in September I plan to enter this contest: http://globalebookawards.com/
Oh, and SEQUEL UPDATE: after chatting with my dear *cousin* (and she knows who she is!) on Yahoo, I was able to reach a satisfying conclusion for Letters! It will be awhile before I can wrap up this first very rough draft, but then I'll get it proofread and edited, which will lead to lots of rewriting and revising, but that's what a writer's gotta do, right?!
http://indieexcellence.com/ has an ongoing contest and I am entering Puritan Witch in it! Winners are announced May 15, 2015....wish me luck!
Originally, I planned to run this giveaway for a FREE AUTOGRAPHED HARDCOVER COPY of Puritan Witch Sept. 30, but I'm thinking of closing it on August 31 instead---what is anyone's opinion? I already have 411 entries! What does any
Sorry about that; coffee hadn't kicked in yet this morning and I forgot how to make a clickable URL...so if you want to ask me questions on my Goodreads Authors page, click here :
If you check out my Goodreads author's page, you will see I have answered some questions Feel free to ask me any questions you might have. And keep those entries coming in for a chance to win an autographed hardcover copy of Puritan Witch!
As of this morning, I have 343 requests--that is, 343 Goodreads members have entered my Puritan Witch giveaway! My first giveaway only had a total of 435, and this giveaway is open until Sept. 30 so it will be interesting to see how many total sign up!
I keep procrastinating about working on the sequel; I'm on Chapter 29 and it's pretty climactic and sad. But little details bother me; should I do away with this character who doesn't seem to add much to the plot? what about the title--change it? oh, I hate indecisiveness!
I'm really hoping I can bring myself to do more writing SOMETIME soon! Muses, where are you?!
Puritan Witch was released September 2013, and I am celebrating my novel's birthday by giving away 5 autographed hardcover copies!
It drives me CRAZY to go for days on end not writing ANYTHING. Where have my Muses gone? I get so impatient with myself I get miserable.
And then finally dawn breaks and I am hit with inspiration, like this morning! I plucked out chapters 27-28 of the sequel this morning and sent the (very) rough draft to my some of my beta readers. Really, I can honestly say I think I see the conclusion looming on the horizon!
Of course this by no means is to say I am anywhere near completion of this second book...SO much writing, rewriting, editing and revising looms ahead for me it's not even funny, but nothing--and I mean nothing--has given me the joy that writing has. Gosh, I sure missed this outlet!
For the third book (which is only a wisp of an idea right now) I sure would like to research Dover, New Hampshire, and actually go there. Going to Boxford really helped my perspective for Puritan Witch.
Speaking of Puritan Witch, Angelina Will plans to get work on the audio version and maybe we'll have that done by September. I am really excited about that!
OK...so I am going with my 3rd choice for narrator and am hoping this one works out---! : Angelina Will http://awvoiceover.com/ will be narrating Puritan Witch. I'm really anxious to get this audiobook underway; gives me something to concentrate on while Letters to Kezia creation is stalled.
I have a good feeling about working with Angelina. She and I spoke on the phone last night and she is very understanding about how new all this audiobook business is to me. I have to call ACX Monday morning and see if I have everything in place regarding dissolution of my contract with Joette Waters.
I am really enjoying this lovely summer month! Dave always takes the entire month of August off and we really enjoy spending all that time together. Unfortunately, we are both horrible procrastinators and don't always get everything accomplished we intend to do while he's off, but oh well--that doesn't stop the sun from rising in the morning!
