And so we begin a new month, and the Muses are tickling my imagination again; especially after enjoying a wonderful breakfast yesterday with dear friend Kelly Z. Conrad. We brainstormed and came up with some wonderful quirks and eccentricities for the main character of my next book idea.
Unlike The Puritan Chronicles series, this latest idea does not feature any of my own ancestors. But I just want to mention a happy surprise that happened after the publication of Puritan Witch in 2013.
Growing up, I was the youngest of all my 1st cousins, most of them adults by the time I even came on the scene. So I tended to put them all on pedestals, which gave a unique specialness to them. We shared some DNA, which bound us physically, but there seemed to be another connection too that stretched beyond the tangible. Not quite like siblings but still loved because they share the familial connection.
This special connection extends to those with even the remotest DNA connection to me, and I am blessed to get acquainted (or in some cases reunited) with them. Just wanted to say to all the cousins I've found through my books AND my Ancestry.com DNA matches I'm glad I have the chance to get to know you and I appreciate your friendship and our kinship!
