As soon as we returned from vacation last month and Dave went back to work, our lives have been bombarded by unexpected surprises. Mainly, Dave has decided to retire after 28 years of being a state employee. One of my best friends, as I write this, is moving from one state to another. A niece is getting married next month. Another niece and hubby are expecting TRIPLETS in February. Fires, hurricanes and other natural disasters make the daily news lately. And me? My left knee's osteoarthritis has finally progressed so that I have graduated from using a cane to this contraption, until I get knee replacement surgery. So many people I know are suddenly having these major life changes.
Now, it may be a flaw in my way of thinking but for some strange reason I am not at all depressed about this turn of events in my life. In a way, it's kind of exhilarating--a jolt out of the sleepy mundane existence we've grown accustomed to. I just hope it doesn't get TOO intense for any of us, and I hope we all see safely through this incredible period of transitions.
Stay safe all, and remember--attitude is everything! *Smile*
